Melodramatic art in Rīga
The Arsenāls exhibition hall in Rīga has a show deconstructing melodramatic movies with the goal of allowing visitors to enter the world of melodrama.
"The exhibition will provide the opportunity to take the lead role of a melodrama character, with the hope that afterwards love in life will captivate more than love in cinema," says the official description.
Titled MELOS, it is made by the young and talented artists Anna Ceipe, Līga Spunde and Vika Eksta.

The Cēsis Concert Hall is on January 26 hosting Tom Adams, a British musician and recipient of accolades. Latvia's Vēstnieks will be the opening act.
So Lucid Electric Feel in Rīga
Inside the capital, the blues/psychedelic/rock band So Lucid Electric Feel are performing at the Tallinas Pagalms bar. It's a spacious venue in what looks like, but probably isn't, a former barn.
It's known to be somewhat cold, however, so stock up your socks and mittens for an optimum-temperature rock event.
