Latvian War Museum invites you to a Barricades concert

Remembering the time of the barricades in 1991 and commemorating the heroic defenders of the barricades, the Latvian War Museum is inviting everyone to a special concert which will take place on January 17 at 17:00 at the Latvian War Museum, 20 Smilšu Street, Rīga.

The program will include singers representing different generations – Arnis Miltiņš and Melisa Debora Kaškura – having a conversation in song about the time that society calls the time of the Third Awakening or the Singing Revolution and will feature songs by various contemporary artists.

The barricades of 1991 were a decisive time for Latvia's re-born independence, when people took to the streets to defend their freedom. Entrance to the concert is free of charge and open to all.
