Despite the absence of local superstar Kristaps Porziņģis and several other leading players, Latvia emerged as winners with the scoreline 87:77.
Rolands Šmits was the most productive players for the winners with 17 points, while Artūrs Strautiņš also stood out with 14 points. Elijah Clarance turned in a good performance for the visitors with 16 points for the Swedish national team.

The finals of the World Cup will take place from August 25 to September 10 in Indonesia, Japan and the Philippines. The Latvian national team will start the final tournament in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia.
