Nevetheless it retained enough firepower to overcome some very game and capable visitors who provided a real test throughout.

On Wednesday, the Latvian basketball team will face the Finnish team in its last test match in Rīga, before jetting off to Taiwan for match-ups against Puerto Rico and Lithuania.
The final tournament of the World Cup will take place from August 25 to September 10 in Indonesia, Japan and the Philippines. The Latvian national team will play in the capital of Indonesia, Jakarta, fighting for victories against France, Canada and Lebanon.
