Latvian forward Rodions Kurucs made his debut for the NBA's Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday, scoring 13 points in a pre-season game.

The Nets lost to Latvian Kristaps Porzingis' New York Knicks 102:107. However, Porzingis is still recovering from an ACL injury and is only expected to return to action after January.

In just 12 minutes of action, Kurucs also pulled down four rebounds, made two assists and four steals.

This was the first of four pre-season games for the Nets, who will open the 2018/2019 season later this month.

Kurucs was selected with the 40th selection in this year's NBA Draft by the Nets.

The new NBA season will begin on October 16.
