Take note – story published 2 years and 5 months ago

Despite three straight losses and zero points in the group stages of the Olympic ice hockey tournament, Latvia is not out of the competition yet.

Following a draw for the knockout stages it has been determined that Latvia will play Denmark on Tuesday at 06:10 Latvian time, and it will be shown live on LTV7 and replay.lv. The winners of the match will meet the team of the Russian Olympic Committee, reigning Olympic champions, in the quarter-finals.

So far Latvia has lost 2: 3 to Sweden, 1: 3 to Finland and 2:5 to Slovakia, but the structure of the tournament means they are still in contention.
