Awards upcoming for Baltic 'ecommerce' sector

A new awards ceremony will take place in May involving companies in the Baltic 'ecommerce' world.

Dubbed 'Ecommerce Star 2024', organizers say the awards will "recognize the best online stores in the Baltics."

Applications are open, and participants can apply until April 8, 2024 online at balticecommercestar.com. Winners will be announced at the ECOMRIGA trade fair on May 24.

Applications will be evaluated by an international jury of industry experts, and winners of the awards will split a prize pot worth 20,000 EUR, as well as special prizes from awards partners. It should be noed that there is a participation fee chargeable.

The four awards categories are divided based on a company's revenue, and are New businesses, Small businesses, Medium businesses and Large businesses.

The awards, sponsored by SEB and Latvijas Pasts, are intended to shine a spotlight on success stories in the ecommerce industry across the Baltic region and promote them to a wider, global audience.

Ecommerce Star is being held for the first time at a Baltic scale though it has previously been held for three years in Latvia only. 2024 marks the first year that it has expanded to the Baltics, and will be held annually across Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania henceforth.
