Lidl wants to build stores in Rīga's Teika and Pļavnieki neighborhoods

Lidl has applied with the Rīga City Construction Board to build new retail shopping centers in Rīga's Teika and Pļavnieki neighborhoods.

The applications were registered with the board on March 5. The board is to review them late March or early April.

Lidl had plans for at least six other stores in Rīga, and late last year the company started building a €55m logistics center in Rīga

In addition, the company is to open stores in Liepāja, Tukums, Jelgava, Jūrmala, and Jēkabpils.
