Latvia's exporters continued to experience strong growth in September, but imports grew even faster, according to fresh data released Tuesday.

Provisional data from the Central Statistical Bureau (CSB) show that in September 2014 compared to August 2014 the export value of goods at current prices grew by 12.7% to be worth €914m.

During the same period the import value of goods grew by 15.2% to €1.1bn euros.

As a result the foreign trade balance slightly worsened as the export value of total foreign trade value declined to 44.5% as against 45.1% in August.
