Latvenergo named most valuable company in Latvia

State-owned electricity giant Latvenergo has been named the most valuable company in Latvia once again, according to the TOP 101 review of consultation company Prudentia and Nasdaq Riga, business news site Dienas Bizness reported on Wednesday.

Swedbank was the second most valuable with a value of about 1% less than Latvenergo, while the state-owned Latvijas Valsts meži forestry company was named the third most valuable company. 

The top three was followed by oil company Ventspils Nafta, state railway company Latvijas Dzelzceļš, state gas utility Latvijas Gāze, Lattelecom, and Latvijas Mobilais Telefons, SEB Banka, LMT and Olainfarm

Olainfarm gained six places in the top, rising from 16 to 10. 

The three most valuable companies in the Baltics according to the top are SwedbankSEB and Tallink Group.
