Latvia's hotels keen to provide self-isolation space

Take note – story published 3 years ago

Interest of hotels to provide self-isolation space is very high, said Santa Graikste, executive director of the Association of Hotels and Restaurants, in an interview to Latvian Radio December 30.

Graikste said that it was currently possible to apply for self-isolation in three hotels, but there is a very high interest from companies and a number of applications have been received. The hotel program has just started.

Graikste said that if needed, the number of hotels that can apply for the program might be limited, but it is not needed right now.

This proposal was already offered by the association in the spring, but it had not been implemented. In her opinion, this will be a good instrument for facilitating hotel work.

Graikste predicted that hotels “with no more than 4 stars” would apply for the program, given that it would not be beneficial for higher-class hotels.
