Compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, there is still a significant increase in manufacturing production output in high and medium high technology sectors such as: manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations, manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products, and manufacture of chemicals and chemical products - by 8.1 %. In February, the manufacture of wearing apparel also continued to show an increase in production output - by 19.5 %, and the largest sector by share - manufacture of wood and of products of wood and cork - by 4.1 %.
In February 2021, compared to January 2021, manufacturing production output according to seasonally adjusted data at constant prices increased by 0.6 %.
Compared to February 2020, in February 2021 manufacturing turnover, according to calendar adjusted data at current prices, increased by 2.6 %. Turnover increased by 3.1 % in the domestic market and by 2.4 % in exports (including 10.1 % in non-euro area while turnover decreased by 6.9 % in the euro area).
In February 2021, compared to January 2021, manufacturing turnover, according to seasonally adjusted data, increased by 2.8 %. Turnover increased by 1.3 % in the domestic market and in exports by 3.5 % (a turnover increase of 6.3 % was registered in non-euro area while a turnover decreased by 0.3 % - in the euro area).
