In the third quarter of 2013 monthly average gross wages and salaries increased by 7.4% (from €722 to €775) compared to the same period in 2013.
In the private sector wages and salaries rose faster – by 8.5% annually, but in the public sector – by 5.6%.
However the average gross wages and salaries in the private sector were lower, amounting to €753, compared to €819 in the public sector.
