Project to help young people get remote jobs in Latvia

A new project by the organization Visas iespējas (All chances), Go remote, will attempt to help young people get into the labor market, the organization said August 1.

In 2020, every tenth of young people aged 15-29 (33.2 thousand or 11.9%) did not work or study. Women aged 25-29 are more likely to remain outside the labor market: one in five women in that age gap (21%) is unable to enter the labour market for a variety of reasons and circumstances, according to the organization.

In order to help young people enter the labor market, the “Go remote” pilot project has been launched, under which the organization will help young people in Latvia to find work that can be done remotely.

The project will provide young people with:

  • free training;
  • remote job offers;
  • career mentors;
  • solutions for job interviews.

Young people aged 20 to 29 who want to work remotely are invited to apply on the platform and follow it on social media.

The project was launched in May 2022 and will take place by December 2023.
