'The future of jobs' conference is on the line and online

"What does the future of work look like?" Such is the question that will be considered for five hours on Wednesday, February 17 in a major online conference titled "The Future of Jobs: 5 trends that will shape Latvia".

"The Future of Jobs Conference in Latvia assembles global executives, policymakers and researchers to explore and discuss the main local and global trends affecting the future of employment, including strategic workforce planning, policy priorities, skills development, social inclusion and other issues," according to advance publicity.

Speakers will include Egils Levits, the President of Latvia and Nicolas Schmit, European Commissioner for Jobs and Social Rights. The event will be moderated by Daunis Auers, Associate Professor of Comparative Politics at the University of Latvia. It starts at 13:00 Rīga time (GMT +2) and runs until 18:00.

"With the right skills and mindset, there will be enough jobs in the future," the organizers assure viewers.

The International Conference "The Future of Jobs in Latvia" is supported by the Chancery of the President of LatviaSwedbank LatvijaERDA consulting firm, and lead technological partner Tet. The State Employment Agency will also participate in the event.
