Dzintari bridge in Jūrmala to undergo major reconstruction

On Monday, March 11, Jurmala will commence works related to the reconstruction of the Dzintari Railway transmission. Drivers have to reckon with traffic restrictions, the local government reported.

Two lanes out of four will be closed to traffic. Traffic will be provided in one lane in each direction along the left side of the transmission. On the transmission, the speed will be reduced to 30 kilometers per hour.

The municipality invites drivers to be attentive and to pay attention to changes in the traffic organization and the road signs. It should be assumed that traffic will be slower.

Such traffic organization will be in force until the completion of the construction work of the closed carriageway, indicatively – until the end of 2024.

In 2025, construction works will be carried out on the left side of the transmission from Majori to Riga.

A full carriageway conversion, renovation of the transmission span, supports and support wall structures will be carried out. A new rainwater drainage system will be built, lighting supports restored and new energy-efficient lighting fixtures installed. New safety barriers and shields will also be installed on the transmission. The redevelopment is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2025.

The author of the building design is SIA “3C”, the performer of construction works is the supplier association “RTBB”, construction supervision is ensured by SIA “Firma L4”.
