Roads especially slippery on Tuesday morning in Latvia

On Tuesday, February 13, morning, due to freezing rain and ice, driving conditions are particularly difficult throughout Latvia especially Vidzeme and Latgale, said Latvian State Roads (LVC).

LVC asks drivers to plan extra time on the road and assess whether it is necessary to drive at all. 

108 machinery units are working on the roads.

On the country's main roads, driving conditions are poor on A1, A2, A3, A4, A6, A10, A12, A13, A15, P80. On regional roads, driving is especially difficult around Limbaži, Madona and Gulbene, but also tough around Rīga, Ventspils, Kuldīga, Tukums, Talsi, Dobele, Valmiera, Cēsis, Valka, Balvi, Ogre, Aizkraukle, Jēkabpils, Alūksne, Rēzekne, Preiļi, Ludza, Krāslava, and Daugavpils.
