During the marathon, vehicle traffic will be restricted or closed on several streets of the capital, as well as on bridges over the Daugava, the Riga City Council said. On Sunday, 19 May, major changes will also be in force on several public transport routes.
From Friday, May 17 at 20.00 until Monday, May 20 at 06.00, vehicle traffic will be closed on the section of the 11. novembra Embankment from Akmens Bridge to Muitas Street. During the same period, vehicle traffic will be closed on the parallel street adjacent to the 11. novembra Embankment on the Old Town side, from Poļu gāte to Jauniela.
If necessary, two-way traffic will be organized on Doma Square and Pils Street from 20.00 on Friday May 17 until 06.00 on Monday May 20. On Sunday May 19 , from 7.30 to 16.00, two-way traffic will also be organised in Jauniela and Krāmu iela.
