Driving is difficult on the country's main roads A1, A2, A3, A4, A6, A7, A8, A9, A10, P80, P27, P30, P98, P93, P108, and P137. On regional roads, conditions are poor in the vicinity of Ventspils, Liepāja, Jelgava, Tukums, Talksi, Dobele, Bauska, Ogre, Alūksne, Valka, and Gulbene.
