Driving is difficult on the country's main roads A2, A3, A6, A7, A12, A13, A14, A15, P80. On regional roads, conditions are poor in the vicinity of Liepāja, Ventspils, Kuldīga, Saldus, Talsi, Tukums, Limbaži, Madona, Rēzekne, Balvi, and Preiļi.
