atvian State Roads (LVC) said on January 23 that driving is difficult in Vidzeme and Latgale due to the formation of an ice layer. On Tuesday it will rain so ice is expected throughout the day.

50 machinery units are maintaining the roads.

Driving is difficult on the country's main roads A2, A3, A6, A7, A12, A13, A14, A15, P80. On regional roads, conditions are poor in the vicinity of Liepāja, Ventspils, Kuldīga, Saldus, Talsi, Tukums, Limbaži, Madona, Rēzekne, Balvi, and Preiļi.
