Trains on almost all lines were delayed on the evening of Monday January 22. Rodžers Jānis Grigulis, chairman of the board of the company, said in an interview with Latvijas Radio that this has “left changes” to train timetables, resulting in cancellations on some lines.
On the Skulte line, the train Skulte (6:50) to Rīga (7:59) was canceled and the Saulkrasti (7:29) to Rīga (8:29) train will run from Skulte instead.
On the other hand, on the Tukums line, the train Sloka (8:18)-Rīga (9:08) has been canceled, as well as Rīga (7:09) to Sloka (7:59).
Train traffic is disturbed by the freezing rain, according to the company, as ice forms on electric structures.
