The company's procurement commission on Friday, June 19, has opened candidate applications filed in the Electronic Procurement System (EIS) and will immediately begin evaluating their eligibility for candidate selection criteria.
Candidates whose applications will be deemed eligible will be invited to submit their bids in Round 2 of the negotiated procedure. In this way, the most economically advantageous tender will be selected in accordance with the requirements of the by-law.
As PV Board Chairman Rodžers Janis Grigulis pointed out that “in this procurement, one of the essential criteria is rapid train delivery time and all eight new trains must have been delivered by November 30, 2023”.
The procurement for the delivery of eight new diesel trains was announced on May 2.
PV plans to conclude a procurement contract by December 31 2020.
