More public transportation in Riga from September

Predicting an increase in passenger flow in Riga, as of September 1, there will be more frequent public transportation, Rīgas Satiksme said August 21.

On weekdays, the total number of public transport rides will be increased by 760 and by 387 on weekends.

Also, from 1 September, the 4z, 35, 59 bus routes and the 9 tram route will be restored on weekdays, and bus routes 57 and  59 and trolley bus route 13 will be restored on weekends. 

On weekdays, changes will take place in the following routes:

  • Bus 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 18, 20, 21, 23, 24, 25, 26, 29, 31, 32, 36, 37, 41, 43, 44, 46, 48, 49, 50, 51, 52, 53 and 57;
  • Tram 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 10 and 11;
  • Trolley bus 1, 3, 4, 5, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 17, 18, 19, 22, 23, 25 and 27.

On weekends, changes will be implemented in these routes: 

  • Bus 2, 3, 5, 11, 12, 13, 15, 16, 24, 29, 31, 32, 36, 51, 52 and 58;
  • Tram 1, 2, 5, 7, 10 and 11;
  • Trolley bus 1, 3, 4, 5, 9, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 22, 23 and 25.

Rīgas Satiksme will follow passenger flows and, if necessary, make changes to the timetable.
