Rīga public transport company Rīgas Satiksme said that the earliest passengers will be able to reach the airport at 05:20 in the morning, while the latest to leave will be at 00:40.
Five additional trips will be organized during working days – morning 04:45 and 05:15 from the stop on Abrenes Street to the airport, and at 05:25 from the airport to Abrenes Street.
In the evening, a 23:50 and 00:40 bus will be traveling from the airport to Abrenes Street.
During the weekends, in addition to the previously mentioned routes, a 23:25 and 23:50 trip will be made from Abrenes Street to the airport and a 00:10 trip from the airport.
The long-disordered taxi business, which allows passengers to be charged questionable rates for the journey, is one of the reasons why the Riga City Council decided to introduce additional bus trips to the airport, Rīga Vice Mayor Vilnis Ķirsis (New Unity) told Latvian Radio.
