Police to enhance presence on roads during Easter

Take note – story published 1 year ago

The State Police (VP) will enhance their road monitoring during the Easter holidays to detect drunk drivers, said a representative of the VP Artūrs Smilga on Latvian Television on April 14.

“In order to ensure public order and road safety, from Thursday, April 14 until April 19, the VP will work in enhanced mode throughout Latvia,” Smilga said.

He urged people to be responsible, not to drive under the influence of intoxicating substances, and to look out for the people around.

Smilga said that the police will involve their forces more than usual, trying to maximize the resources, including drones.
