Several more cycling routes and lanes will continue to be developed with the financing of the European funds, Ķirsis said.
“The Center-Ziepniekkalns route will be completed, the construction of the Imanta–Daugavgrīva route will begin, and a missing section will be constructed between Babīte and Imanta.
“In terms of other plans, we are currently investing in the design of other routes. In addition, the funding for setting up the municipality's Cycling Infrastructure division has been approved, people are being recruited. Their job will be to look for some financial less-intensive solutions,” said Ķirsis.
