Latvia Weekly is an independent English language podcast hosted by Otto Tabuns and Joe Horgan and is usually recorded in Jelgava – but this one is a trans-Atlantic effort recorded in Portland, Maine and Rīga.
This one covers the period June 28 - July 9 and includes discussion of consciption plans, cyber attacks and, inevitably, a walrus.
According to its creators it "breaks down the biggest stories in and around Latvia each week and aims to make the news understandable and easy to follow", providing analysis and context to help people get to know the country in a deeper way. It has guests and features a 'word of the week' to grow your Latvian language vocabulary.
