Rinkēvičs: kick Russian propagandists, officials from social media

Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkēvičs used social media March 11 to make a call to social media companies themselves to ban Russian propagandists from their platforms.

"Russia is banning Western social media, I think it is time for TwitterMeta, InstagramYouTube and others to delete accounts of the Russian government and propaganda outlets as they are openly promoting and justifying war crimes and spreading lies and disinformation," Rinkēvičs wrote.

As previously reported by LSM, Latvia's official broadcast regulator has been increasingly active in cracking down on propaganda and disinformation, removing the right of dozens of Russian cable channels to spread their mendacious material in Latvia.
