The Saeima deputy, former Rīga mayor Oļegs Burovs (elected from Latvia First, LPV) has announced he will quit the party faction due to its recent rapprochement with For Stability!, Burovs told Latvian Television's Morning Panorama on June 19.

He stated that LPV's alliance with For Stability! is "destructive and wrong".

"I can announce that from today I quite my work as a faction deputy in the Saeima and will continue to work as a non-partisan member," said Burovs.

As reported earlier by LSM, LPV and For Stability! leaders Ainārs Šlesers and Aleksejs Rosļikovs have joined forces in hopes to achieve dissolution of the parliament.
