He promised that he, like Viņķele, would continue to rely on health care experts and as a politician would do everything so they can do their job.
He said that there are many specialists in the sector who are competent on health matters, while he has sufficient expertise to do the work of a politician, to represent the health care sector and the views of specialists in government work.
Pavļuts said that one of his immediate tasks would be to accelerate vaccination against Covid-19 and to improve the vaccination plan, and above all, communication and fight against disinformation.
He also said that he and Prime Minister Krišjānis Kariņš might have different views on some issues, but the government needs to communicate and look for solutions, and he is prepared to do so.
