Take note – story published 1 year ago

14th Saeima deputy Nadežda Tretjakova from the For Stability! faction has already given up her parliamentary mandate for which oaths were given Tuesday, according to a submission received by the Saeima Presidium November 2.

Tretjakova has indicated that the reason for giving up the mandate is unexpected family conditions.

LTV reports that the Saeima member submitted the application at 14:37 Tuesday. The Member's oath was given shortly before 14:00, meaning she lasted barely half an hour.

Jekaterina Dorošķeviča could replace Tretjakova in the parliament as the next candidate on the party list by the number of votes in Latgale's constituency. However, it is not yet known "whether she will be able to arrange her personal life so that she can perform her duties qualitatively in the Saeima," the party leader, Aleksejs Rosļikovs, told LETA.

The Saeima Bureau has forwarded the request to the Saeima administration, said the Bureau.
