Take note – story published 2 years ago

Over the weekend, police have discovered another location in Riga where bogus vaccination against Covid-19 was allegedly organized. Two persons were detained in connection with the incident, the State Police said August 16.

One of the persons detained is a medical worker.

The VP, in cooperation with other institutions, continues to investigate the case for alleged fictitious vaccination and bribery.

The law-enforcement officials call for people who have received a fake Covid-19 vaccination certificate to turn themselves in. Depending on the situation, the possibility of exempting such persons from criminal liability under the law will be assessed.

Given that investigation is ongoing, the police do not disclose more information about the persons detained and the details of the investigation.
