The tipsy tourists were seen on Riga's numerous CCTV cameras in the process of taking down a road sign on the corner of Merķeļa and Krišjāņa Barona street, and then taking off to Vērmanes garden and hiding the sign at a public transportation stop when they realized the police are on to them.
They tried to deny they did it, but of course you can't argue against video recordings.
