Ranking shows Rīga schools perform best in exams

Riga State Gymnasium No. 1, RTU Engineering High School, Riga State Gymnasium No. 2, Riga State Gymnasium No. 3 and Riga Cathedral Choir School showed the highest performance in the centralized exams, according to the rating of the Draudzīgā Aicinājuma Foundation published November 2.

In the rating evaluating students' performance in centralized examinations, Riga State Gymnasium 1 is the leader of the overall assessment – its performance is evaluated by 8.357 points.

The gymnasium is also a leader in the group of grammar schools. It is followed by Riga State Gymnasium 2 with 7.596 points, while Riga State Gymnasium 3 ranked third, gaining 7.524 points.

In the group of urban schools, RTU Engineering High School is the first with 7.831 points, followed by Riga French Lyceum with 7.043 points, while Riga Centre Humanities High School ranks third with 6.486 points.

In the rural school group, Druva High School is the leader with 6,628 points, Ķekava High School ranked 2nd with 6,438 points and Jaunpiebalga High School ranked third with 6.339 points.

The ranking uses data from the State Educational Content Center (VISC) on exam performance. VISC is also compiling its own analysis. It is currently known that, as usual, the worst results overall are in the mathematics exam.
