March – ou "mars", si vous préférez – is Francophone month in Latvia, with a range of events dedicated to the French language and culture, including special film screenings, a French-language Olympiade and a good old literary soirée.

Latvia has observer status with the Organization Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF) which has
the aim of defending Francophone values, highlighting the opportunities provided by learning the French language.

The program of all the events of the month is available in on the website of the Institut Francais in Latvia and its Facebook page.
