The Durbe nest has been on stream for nine years, during which the nest has been toppled and built anew twice, and several couples have inhabited it.
Ķuze said: "Currently, the nest is being tidied by a male and a female whom we know from last spring. Last year they were unsuccessful in nesting, but now are very actively preparing for the new season. Both birds are carrying material, branches, pine needles, as well as the inner layer – dry grass. And if it goes as planned, we expect that the first egg could be laid until mid-March."
Last year the Latvian Fund for Nature maintained ten livestream cams, with some still operating this year.
