Vaccination data will be available on E-health

It will be mandatory for all medical treatment institutions to enter information regarding any vaccination performed in patients from that date onward, into the State e-Health system, according to a government decision passed January 9.

This will ensure that vaccination data are stored in one place, improving the availability of information and facilitating work for health professionals. Residents will be able to access their vaccination information on the portal “www.eveseliba.gov.lv”.

Authorities will be able to enter historical vaccination data into the system on a voluntary basis. Previously, only data on vaccinations against COVID-19 and influenza had to be entered into the eHealth system. According to the observations of the NVD, some medical treatment institutions have started digitizing all vaccination data already.

As has been the case so far, if a resident wants to find out about the vaccination or booster they need, they will also be able to contact their GP practice, which plans and organizes patient vaccinations and has access to information about the vaccinations they receive.

From now on, with the progressive accumulation of vaccination data, medical practitioners will be able to quickly learn the condition of the patient's immunization if necessary.
