Of 8,333 tests carried out in the past 24 hours, 1.5% were positive, a figure consistent with recent days.
Most significantly, the 14-day cumulative infection rate per 100,000 inhabitants continued its decline, from 103.6 Monday to 96.7 Tuesday. 100 is the figure at which the epidemiological risk is rated "moderate" rather than "high" and, having dropped below that threshold, policymakers may consider further easing of current epidemiological restrictions.
