During a survey, the building company found that a load-bearing structure on the 4th floor - a metal column - has a visual curvature in the longitudinal direction. Such deformation in the load-bearing structure of the new structure is not permissible, therefore the work in this area was immediately discontinued on all floors of the building.
An act regarding the finding has been sent to the commissioning party, the State Construction Control Bureau (BVKB), and the designers of the new building, in which the building company indicates that it has reasonable doubts regarding the appropriateness of the technical solution of the building design, therefore the parties involved are asked to perform additional inspections. Velve indicates that it has adhered strictly to the design documentation.
"To avoid any doubt as to the safety of the new building and to ensure full compliance with the regulations of the laws and regulations governing construction, the commissioning party and the designer shall be obliged to verify carefully the quality and conformity of the documentation of the building object. For this purpose, it is now necessary to attract independent certified experts who can perform detailed calculations of the building design to verify that the carrying capacity and loads of the load-bearing structures have been accurately and appropriately calculated in the building design,"says the building company.
Medical equipment has not yet been installed in the building, which will create additional burdens on structures.
The construction company hopes that, under the influence of the public and supervisory authorities, the commissioning party will finally need to go into what is happening in the construction object and that it will promote a deeper understanding of the number of errors committed in the construction project of this significant object.
