Hospital saga continues: building documents reported missing

Taking possession of the construction object, experts at Pauls Stradiņš Clinical University Hospital (PSKUS) have identified missing construction documentation, PSKUS said on February 22.

The fact that documents were missing was identified on Wednesday, February 21, while taking possession of the construction object of the second building of the new complex and carrying out a survey with representatives of the construction company LLC Velve.

According to PSKUS, the previously signed executive documentation – including the copy belonging to Stradiņš hospital – construction work journals, author's supervision journals, and part of the building design folders, which, according to the regulatory framework, are to be located in the construction object, has disappeared.

Representatives of LLC Velve have refused to comment on the disappearance of the file or indicate its location, PSKUS said.

These facts have been recorded by the sworn bailiffs present, also recording the statement of the representative of the LLC Velve that the documentation will not be returned.

Tthe State Construction Control Bureau (BVKB) and Riga City Building Authority have also been informed of this.
