The total number of cases detected since the start of the pandemic now stands at 135,388.
Of 12,810 tests carried out in the past 24 hours, just 1.9% were positive, down again on the 2.0% rate of Tuesday.
The 14-day cumulative infection rate per 100,000 inhabitants continued to decline, from 191.7 Tuesday to 183.7 Wednesday. It means the epidemiolgical risk is now classed as "high" instead of the "very high" of recent months.
