The 14-day cumulative infection rate per 100,000 inhabitants again ticked down from to 33.9 Tuesday to 30.4 Wednesday.

There were two additional Covid-19 deaths confirmed Wednesday. The death toll since the start of the pandemic now stands at 2,540.
On Tuesday 70 patients were being treated for Covid-19 symptoms in Latvian hospitals, while the number of people who have completed a course of vaccination reached 621,091.
Meanwhile 56 cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Estonia Wednesday and 80 cases in Lithuania.
