In Jelgava and Jurmala, where on Friday any resident could receive an anti-Covid-19 at vaccination centers, the interest was so high that around 13:30 the line was closed because all vaccines supplied to the center would be used.

The vaccination bureau said on Twitter that the line was closed in Jurmala and Jelgava and asked people not to go anymore today but wait for tomorrow or Sunday.

Around 500 people were vaccinated in around four hours in each of the centers.

On Saturday, the centers will resume work at 9:00 AM.

The Rīga vaccination center on Krasta Street continued until around 15:30, before following suit and focussing on priority groups until scheduled working hours end at 17:00. A further 1,250 doses are scheduled to be vaccinated in this center on Saturday.
