As from Monday, August 17, new restrictions of assembly and working hours at cultural and catering venues come in force, Ministry of Culture said August 17.

As previously reported, up to 1,000 people will be allowed to gather indoors.

Catering sites will be allowed to work until 2 AM instead of midnight. This rule applies to venues where catering is the main service and people sit at tables. Cultural, sports and religious venues where the flow of people is organized will also be able to work until 02:00.

However, other entertainment sites, bars and night clubs will still be allowed to work only until midnight. The Health Ministry said these venues are linked to high risk of COVID-19 spread.

Events will have to ensure a space of 3 square meters per person instead of the current 4.

Two persons who are not from one household and four persons from one household may sit together in personalized seats.

There must be a 1-metre distance between the seating groups.

At catering sites, eight people who are not members of the same household are allowed to sit at one table indoors. Outdoor tables have no limitations. Two-meter distance between tables shall be preserved.

Outdoor cultural events must not exceed visitor count of 3000.
