As of June 1, some exemptions for vaccinated people and former Covid-19 patients are in force, as approved earlier by the Latvian government.

Starting June 1, provision of all kinds of beauty services, sports equipment rentals and photo services, as well as personal business services related to entertainment and well-being, will be permitted if the service provider is vaccinated or has had Covid-19 within the last half-year. Only the service provider and one customer or one household are allowed in the same room. In this case, customers do not have to be vaccinated.

Representative of Health Ministry Jana Feldmane said at a press conference May 31 that the digital certificate attesting to the fact of vaccination or having had Covid-19 will be available at the www.Covid19sertifikats.lv starting June 15, along with more exemptions for vaccinated people. More information on how to obtain the certificate and how it will work is promised on June 2.

A person is considered vaccinated people two weeks after completion of the full vaccination course or three weeks after receiving the first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine (after 90 days the second dose should be received), as well as to people who have had Covid-19 during the last half-year.

If a person does not have the possibility to obtain a certificate electronically, it will be issued in paper form by a medical treatment institution or one of the centers of the single State and local government customer service network.
