Of the newly-confirmed cases, 742 cases were recorded in unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated people, while 1,767 were fully vaccinated.
Out of 6,555 tests carried out in the past 24 hours, 38.3% were positive. The 14-day cumulative incidence rate per 100,000 of the population declined further from 2846.5 Friday to 2634.3 Saturday. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 789,483 Covid-19 cases have now been recorded among Latvia's 1.9 million population.

Three more Covid-related deaths were also confirmed. All victims were aged 70 and over, and none were fully vaccinated. The total death toll since the beginning of the pandemic now stands at 5,557.
Friday hospital data from the National Health Service show 956 patients being treated in hospitals. 116 patients were admitted and 102 were discharged during the previous 24 hours. 31 patients are displaying serious symptoms.

If you have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19, or you have fully recovered from a confirmed case of it, you can obtain a digital certificate attesting to your status at the website https://covid19sertifikats.lv.
