Of the newly-confirmed cases, 396 cases were recorded in unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated people, while 918 were fully vaccinated.
Out of 4,738 tests carried out in the past 24 hours, 27.7% were positive. The 14-day cumulative incidence rate per 100,000 of the population declined further from 1,869 Friday to 1,736 Saturday.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 802,001 Covid-19 cases have now been recorded among Latvia's 1.9 million population.

Unfortunately, seven more Covid-related deaths were also confirmed. All fatalities were aged over 50 years and three were fully vaccinated. The total death toll since the beginning of the pandemic now stands at 5,624.
Friday hospital data from the National Health Service show 865 patients being treated in hospitals (down on 880 the previous day). 104 patients were admitted and 102 were discharged during the previous 24 hours. 24 patients are displaying serious symptoms.

If you have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19, or you have fully recovered from a confirmed case of it, you can obtain a digital certificate attesting to your status at the website https://covid19sertifikats.lv.
Latvia is also part of the European Union's wider Covid-19 certification scheme.
