Of the newly-confirmed cases, 1,488 cases were recorded in unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated people, while 2,504 were fully vaccinated.
Out of 8,346 tests carried out in the past 24 hours, 47.8% were positive. The 14-day cumulative incidence rate per 100,000 of the population dipped for the twelfth day in a row from 6252.8 Saturday to 6105.8 Sunday. Since the beginning of the pandemic 701,540 Covid-19 cases have now been recorded among Latvia's 1.9 million population.

Three more Covid-related deaths were also confirmed. All victims were aged 60 years or older. All were of the dead were unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated. The total death toll since the beginning of the pandemic stands at 5,336.
Sunday hospital data from the National Health Service show 1,107 patients being treated in hospitals (up on Saturday's 1,080). 76 patients were admitted and 34 were discharged during the previous 24 hours. 51 patients were displaying serious symptoms.
