Of the newly-confirmed cases, 255 cases were recorded in unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated people, while 557 were fully vaccinated.
Out of 4,522 tests carried out in the past 24 hours, 18% were positive. The 14-day cumulative incidence rate per 100,000 of the population continued to decline from 748 Wednesday to 685 Thursday.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 811,868 Covid-19 cases have now been recorded among Latvia's 1.9 million population.

Ten more Covid-related deaths were also confirmed, with all of the victims aged over 50 years. The total death toll since the beginning of the pandemic now stands at 5,690.
Wednesday hospital data from the National Health Service show 537 patients being treated in hospitals. 62 patients were admitted and 80 were discharged during the previous 24 hours. 12 patients are displaying serious symptoms.

If you have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19, or you have fully recovered from a confirmed case of it, you can obtain a digital certificate attesting to your status at the website https://covid19sertifikats.lv.
