The pace of vaccination against Covid-19 in Latvia did not change significantly last week, according to current data from the National Health Service (NVD), LETA reported October 4.

3% fewer people were vaccinated last week than the week before but this number could still increase after all the data are entered.

Last week, a total of 39,577 people have received the vaccine against Covid-19, and a week earlier 41,015 people received it. Thus, last week, vaccination rates were the second highest since the first week of July, when 56,946 people received the vaccine against Covid-19.

A total of 1,657,509 injections have been carried out in Latvia so far. 795,241 people received the first dose of the vaccine, while 862,117 people have completed the vaccination process. Thus 49.59% of the population have started the process, while 45.80% of the population have been fully vaccinated.
